Im a Nan FanWe enjoyed a delicious dinner at Nan Thai. The room is elegant and beautiful. Servers are friendly and helpful. We started with the Koh Samui cocktail which was great. Then we shared the appetizer sampler. The dumplings were especially delicious. The Tom Kah Gai soup and the Green Papaya Salad were both very good. For mains we had the lamb shank and the shrimp & scallop skewers. Both were full of flavor.Nan Thai isnt as reasonably priced as your typical neighborhood Thai restaurant. It does, though, have some really great items that Ive not seen elsewhere.
Very good Thai restaurant – expensive but worth every penny. Decor interesting and a little quirky. Find the VJ Singh display cabinet. Menu contains traditional Thai dishes and this restaurants own items. Wait staff knowledgeable and helpful with advice. Start with the sample tree and then ask for recommendations. Really can’t go wrong. Mango Margarita was excellent – try one.
Very disappointing. I’ve been to Nan in the past and always thought it was a top notch restaurant. I went on 03-28-2015 and was so disappointed. The interiors were still the same which are beautiful however the food was mediocre and the service was horrible. I’m not sure if it has gone through management change or under new ownership. I ever tried to call the manage to make him aware of the bad service. Left a message with a person and he never returned the call. Very sad to see what was once a great restaurant become what it is today. As a business person I would not recommend Nan at this point.
Poor Service, Mediocre food served at exhorbitant prices!. After reading some rave reviews (rather I should say being mislead by some fake reviews), I and my husband booked a table here yesterday to celebrate a milestone wedding anniversary of our dear friends. Bad move!!Everything we hoped and expected happened the opposite.Special requests that they took over phone along with reservations were not honored or acknowledged. Not seated promptly despite being on time.Served mediocre food which did not remotely match the spice level we requested for.Served very late.Missed some orders and did not bring them without a remorse or apology until after we almost finished dinner!Arrogantly responded when we tried to point out a child’s food was very hot when we in fact ordered slightly medium spice.Thoroughly spoiled our friend’s anniversary celebration spirit!Don’t bother wasting your time and money at this place!
Perfect Dinner. I was in Atlanta for work and my hotel recommended Nan Thai. I had The Emerald and it was delicious. My steak was perfectly medium rare and the green curry had just the right level of heat. I also had the coconut cake for dessert and it was great as well. My server, Sophie, was attentive and polite. She created a very welcoming atmosphere and her service was excellent!
Food is above par, service will prevent a return trip. Waiter had empty drinks at several tables around us, 10 minutes after placing wine order, he finally returned to tell me they were out of that selection. Lady at table next to us had dinner brought to her and waiter never checked back, she finally flagged down another to get a fork for her now cold entree. Tree of starters was never explained and had to ask for plates. Dinner special was explained as shrimp and scallops, came out with only shrimp – no chance to ask as waiter didn’t return. When questioned shrimp/scallop entree on bill was told our dish should’ve had a skewer of scallops. Finally waiter told us he wasn’t supposed to be our waiter but picked up the table… He had all the tables surrounding so??? Too many choices in Atlanta with good food AND good service, this one is a SKIP!!
Nice atmosphere.. My girlfriend and I enjoyed. The food was great . Presentation was pectfect . The dark chocolate dessert was the best. My only knock is that the server didnt come right out initially I had to tell the hostess.
