Way too overpriced Sunday brunch. Food was good. Service was ok
TENDER RIBS. Ate at Paschals once in the ATL airport. Tender sweet ribs and great mac n cheese. Glad I don’t live closer, or I’d be in trouble! 🙂
Complete waste of money!!! I went with my family on Sunday to Paschal’s for brunch. The brunch consisted of cold hard french toast, flavorless dried up chicken, cold bacon and sausage, collard greens that I’m pretty sure came out of a can and an omelet station which no one was at to make the omelets. After picking over our food, my dad got the check and was oh so pleased to pay 120.00 for our amazing meal. I was born and raised in the south and this is definitely not southern food! Maybe they can fool some northerner a with that crap they serve on a plate but they aren’t fooling anyone here. No wonder they were on the verge of closing down!!! I understand its a historical building but that’s no excuse for the crappy food they serve ppl and the ridiculous prices.
Terrible service! The restaurant is close to the hotel we stayed at while in town for the NCAA men’s national championship. We decided to stop on for drinks & apps despite reading some of the reviews. The waiter forgot our orders, didn’t give us the advertised special prices, and even the manager was rude when we were being seated. Definitely won’t go back.
The waiter stole from me!!!!!!! I visited Paschal’s for the first time with my brother and sister who absolutely raved about the food and how good it was. The restaurant was nice, but the food was okay at best. We had to send back sides because they came out cold, but the saving grace (at least i thought at that time) was the waiter who was very attentive and polite. My thoughts about the waiter changed weeks later when i looked over my bank statement.Deciding to treat my siblings to the meal , i opted to use my credit card for payment, our bill was approx 110.00 which was suppose to be applied to my card and i included a 20.00 bill for tip. I explained to the waiter to charge my card for the bill and the 20 was for him. When he returned to the table he presented me with a credit card reciept to sign for 90.00, it seemed he misunderstood and applied my intended tip for him to the bill instead. We laughed about the error and I stated to him to leave the previous transaction as is then i pulled out another 20.00 bill from my wallet and placed it in his hand. We then thanked him for great service and left. Weeks later while reviewing my bank statements i noticed two charges from paschals one for 90.00 and one for 20.00. I immediately called paschals and left several voice messages over the course of two weeks with no response. Long story short I finally got to speak to a Manager who told me he was the manager working that same day and he remembered what happened. He said the waiter returned to the back (had to be after we left) and advised him that he had cashed out wrong, the 20.00 i gave him initially was not supposed to be added to the bill it was his tip. The manager then reversed the cash payment, gave the waiter the 20.00 and in turn charged my card again; leaving the waiter with a 40.00 tip. I have spoken to two managers regarding the issue including a General manager who stated he was new to the establishment at the time and hadnt been checking voicemails which is why my earlier messages went unanswered. He appologized for the error and offered to return the 20.00 and a free meal. I declined the meal, stating i didnt want to eat there again and he in turn offered to reverse the 20.00 payment back to my card. I accepted that offer provided him with some transaction numbers from the originsl reciept and waited. Its been several months and i have yet to see that refund. As i explained to the manager then, this situation is simply appalling.i know my little money wont make or break this establishment and it was only 20.00 he stole but i work hard for money and for someone to blatanly steal it from me is unacceptable. I don’t know if any disciplinary action was taken towards the waiter, but my suggestion to all patriots of this restaurant is to be very very aware because they will steal from you!
Too pricey for soul food. It’s just ok!
Real southern cooking. The food was great. The service was wonderful. Next time in Atlanta we will go there again. Keep up the good work. Williams Family from Little Rock, Ar
