Perfect place for a date or special occasion if you prefer Italian cuisine. The ravioli di funghi and Tortelli di Mele that we ordered out of the world. It was nothing like I’ve tasted before even though the wild mushroom ravioli is one of my usual Italian orders. The price is on the higher end but definitely worth it!
Restaurants everywhere try to do great Italian food. Pasta Da Pulcinella is simply and confidently at home with the cuisine. They don’t try to do it all, instead they focus on doing a piece of the cuisine exceptionally well. For Pulcinella that piece is ravioli. This is their flagship pasta and they do it marvelously well! With trusted menu favorites and daily features they delight their guests with sumptuous and interesting plates that deliver taste and texture to enjoy, remember, and mention. I chose to try one of their ravioli plates – Tortelli di Mele – round ravioli filled with Granny Smith apple, sausage and parmigiano, topped with browned butter and sage. I added pine nuts, and a nice cover of Parmesan Reggiano. It was a superior choice. Throughout our party of eight, the reviews on all of our selections were similar. Truly an excellent dining experience, in a quaint, comfortable, cozy environment with good, knowledgeable servers. I heartily recommend.
Everything wasFineWe had a nice table out in front of the restaurant on a lovely evening. Servers were nice, although finding one to order another drink could be a bit slow. The three of us had a total of one appetizer, one salad, one gilled veggies, three entrees and two desserts. Everything was nice, OK, fine. Prices were reasonable. With so many really good restaurants in Atlanta, I wont be in a hurry to return. I do wish, however, that I could find more great little neighborhood Italian restaurants in Atlanta. I guess that Ill have to keep relying on La Tavola Trattoria in Virginia-Highlands.
Visiting Atlanta. My husband and I were visiting Atlanta, to run a race. The front desk at the Hyatt Downtown Atanta referred this restaurant. We did not have reservations; the owner acted as if he was doing us a favor allowing us to dine without reservations. The food was good; BUT the service was Horrible. Our waiter only checked on us once, after our plates had been picked, we waited about 10 min before the waiter rush over with dessert menus. You can get good food almost anywhere; But Good Service means EVERYTHING…We were EXTREMELY Disappointed..With our experience.
Bad Mgt-Mediocre Food. Absolutely, hands down one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. We had a group of 10 in on a Friday night. We wanted to start by ordering a couple of rounds of drinks, then apps, dinner and dessert. As soon as we ordered our first drinks we were pushed to order food. We told our server we wanted to have a couple of drinks then order. After 10 minutes the server came back and told us we were taking too long and needed to order. We asked him to come back. 10 minutes later we ordered more drinks and were asked again to order. We ordered apps. The server came back and told us his manager told him to come back out and take our order because we were taking too long. I shared my frustration but our group ordered. The food came out and was mediocre at best. Most everything tasted like it came out of a bag or box. We tried to order more drinks and were told again we had to hurry along as they had other people waiting. I told the serve I could not believe the experience. He told me he didn’t know what to do because his manager told him he had to do it. I got up from the table and asked to speak to the manager. Tana Jo came to talk to me. I told here our server was rude and this becoming one of the worst experiences I had ever had. She told we we were taking too long and we just had to be done. I told her I though she was rude and completely disrespectful of our patronage. Our groups bill was over $600. We were definitely not just sitting around. I asked to speak to the owner and told it was Barato. I left 2 messages and sent 3 e-mails. No response. In short, terrible service, over priced poor quality food, and ownership that could care less. My recommendation go anyplace else.
Great Place for New Years. Ate dinner her on New Years, Loved the food and Loved the service. This was a fantastic place to begin our New Years celebration. They had a very affordable menu and the food was great. After we ate there were plenty of clubs within walking distance where we continued our celebration until the clock struck midnight and we toasted the New Year!
Loved it! This quaint little place is an absolute jewel. I had a quiet lunch with my friend and the atmosphere was beyond ideal. We ate outside and enjoyed the cooling weather. On top of the great weather, our waiter was just plain COOL. I had their special( the salad was heavenly) and my date had the ravioli( spicy pink sauce:) Great people, delicious food—perfect!
