Honey Teriyaki Salmon. Perfect combination of salmon and spices. Probably one of the best salmon dishes I have ever tasted.
This was my first time here and I must say the food was really good. We had the wasabi deviled eggs and grilled tenderloin. However, the service was slow and we experienced very poor customer service. The tenderloin was listed as $28 on our menu, but we were charged $34. When we pointed out the mistake (our menu clearly said $28), they said the menu they gave us was 3 years old and did nothing at all to fix their mistake. While $6 really isn’t that much, they way it was handled really disappointed us since it was their fault and dampened our experience.
Great atmosphere and great sushi. Wait staff is very knowledgeable and the presentations are beautiful. Mt.fuji and dragon roll are my favorite.
Overpriced food. The location and atmosphere is excellent. However, they fall short on the food. I have been there twice and the food is ok at best but priced to impress. It just isn’t worth the money. The rice doesn’t seem to be very fresh. It just seems like steamed rice I can buy for $1 in the grocery store. Nothing special about it or the taste which was rather bland. It had no pizaz or nothing that grabbed me like a pricey bowl should be. I know I am talking a lot about the rice but at an asian place, you should at least have decent rice. The meat both times was bad. I wouldn’t even call it ok. The crispy chicken was so crispy it was difficult to chew. It tasted ok but the texture was way off. Crispy doesn’t mean you flatten it to a thin piece and cook it till you can’t chew it. It was ok at best and certainly not worth the price. Plenty of other places withing walking distance for great food.
Honestly the best salmon I’ve ever had and a very relaxing atmosphere.
Another Redundant Midtown Asian Fusion Place. At Steel, we found ourselves mainly paying for the ambience and location. While the sushi was definitely delicious (Drew got the Tuna Tower & I got the Cajun Roll), it was nothing to really write home about. I feel like there are about 1,000 of these Asian Fusion type places around Atlanta and they all run together in my book. It was very well presented and impeccably fresh though, which are both major pros. Major disappointment: no tempura ice cream! While our experience was far from bad, we probably will not go back due to the high prices and average taste.
Topped off a Great Anniversary. My fiance and I went here at the suggestion of the concierge of our hotel. We were not disappointed. Unfortunately, we arrived shortly before closing because of a time misunderstanding, but we never felt rushed (thankfully, we were not the only ones to be in the restaurant, or else we might not have decided to stay and would have missed out on this great place!). Our service was exceptional, and the food was delicious. The waitress was very friendly, and she answered my two menu questions and added requested suggestions that did not disappoint. I had the Teriyaki Chicken, and it was satisfying and one of the best preparations of said dish I have ever had. We will be visiting this place again upon our next trip to Atlanta.
