Excellent service, and phenomenal food. Interesting drinks, but my red wine by glass was soso.Grilled octopus was perfection, and the eggplant (in fairytale sauce?) was superb. Grouper was perfectly cooked, with a crisp sear on top and light flaky inside. Nice complement of something called lady beans (green black eyed beans) with prosciutto.
Delicious. I’d never heard of skuna salmon but it’s sustainable from skuna island in bc crispy skinn on one side…yummy toasted almonds on the other. My taste buds went wild I would have given a perfect score but my salmon toast appetizer was too too rich. It needed a is or spices ( cilantro instead of parsley) to balance it out
Very good! Great place for date night or hanging with friends. Very different presentation of seafood dishes which is refreshing. Really liked the urban decor, hip feeling and lively conversational flow of the restaurant. Nice ambiance.
Fresh, clean, and delicious. The prices aren’t too high which is great for a seafood based restaurant. Great atmosphere, service and ambiance.
Raw Oyster selection was phenomenal! Only wish they were not out of Blue Points when I ordered. Scallops were so fresh with fennel, apple and peanuts. Trigger fish with almonds and brown butter was delectable. Hanger steak was slightly over cooked but flavor was still there.
Don’t let the neighborhood (across from Atlanta Mission) dissuade you. The octopus appetizer (a signature dish) should not be missed; the kale salad was particularly good, too. This was my first experience with cobia and it is now a favorite, roasted with calabrese peppers, fantastic. The Georgia Bank scallops were creamy and perfectly prepared. This was one of those rare meals where everything was unique, flavorful and synergistically delicious.
My coworkers and I went to The Optimist to celebrate a co worker who was retiring. The food was amazing! And our server Trevor was was even more amazing. He was knowledgeable about everything on the menu and his recommendations were spot on. A co worker and I split the shrimp burger and the Opti burger…… Delicious! I will define going back.
