If you want greasy, makes you feel good food….this is the place. Super crispy onion rings and the chili slaw dogs are delicious. I had the fried sweet potato pie, and it ties the whole dinner together. Quick enough to get an order and food, and you can even order from your car outside and they’ll bring it to you
Varsity is a good place to hangout in downtown Atlanta. It is centrally located and gives good food. Hot dogs and Burgers are good. Good place to visit.
Very unique building where you can feel the history. The classic chili burger and dog were good and cheap. Chili has a mild and subtle flat that just works with the meat and bun. The onion rings are out of this world! Maybe the best I’ve had – hand-cut delicious. Cons- this place is desperate for really good cleaning. Floor is terribly sticky and overall feels grimy from fried food and not being properly cleaned.
Giving it a 1 star because I can’t give it a zero. The frozen burger patty was cold and not cooked through. The tomato was rotten in the center. The fries were greasy and had no taste. I became very sick after eating here. The people we were with liked the orange drink and the fried pie.
If you think going to this place for lunch be ready to stand in line for a while. I ordered the chili dog and onion rings, and my husband ordered cheeseburger with fries. The hotdog was ok nothing especial, the onion rings were extremely oily. I really didnt like the peach pie but my husband did.
This is a must stop whilevisiting Midtown, Atlanta. This is aniconic American diner chain famous for the best slaw dogs, onion rings and shakes. The orange fruit shake is one of the best shakes I’ve ever tried. Nice decor from the 50’s. Be back!
Maybe it’s good when it’s hot cause that food was terrible.Cold, crowded for nothing. Completely a waste of my last meal in Atlanta…I hate I stood in line for 30 minutes for that BS..
