A pleasant Tuesday night meal. A good selection of items on the menu. We had soup, sushi and a traditional chicken dish. All of the items were well prepared and presented.The service was excellent. The atmosphere was good, even though we were the only customers at 5:30 pm.
Very good! I’m quite picky about curry dishes, I got the Penang Curry with chicken. The chicken was well cooked, not chewy like most places. The driver delivering was very punctual and kind upon delivery. My husband ate sushi, which is usually a concern – but the rolls were well made. Definitely will be reordering from Chin Chin.
Sushi is average at best. I have never truthfully enjoyed the mail let any of the chin chin locations they put on airs that they are a big fancy restaurant but the quality just doesn’t match the pricing .
Bad Management. I was so excited when this Chin Chin’s had a groupon offered so close to my house. When I went to use the $20 groupon my order totaled $19.90. The poor waiter returned and was so embarrassed. He informed us that we had to purchase $20 so we needed to order some rice or a drink to go. And, he continued, we couldn’t pay with a credit card because the total would be under $5. He insisted that his tip was counted separately and was not able to be counted towards the total. Management is so short-sided to harass customers for $0.10 and a 3% credit card processing fee. As a result I will not return and give them any more business. If they are that stingy it makes you think twice about the quality and what goes into their food if they needed a measly TEN CENTS to stay in business. I tried to speak with the manager about the situation, but of course, the manager was not in.
Going DOWNHILL. I have eaten at Chin Chin several times over the last few years, and my most recent experience was terrible. I will say that the soups were good… The chicken dish that my husband ordered had hardly any chicken. He literally had to pick through to find the TINY pieces of chicken. My chicken dish had a little more chicken, but not much…and the pieces were also so small that you could hardly pick some of them up with a fork.We both ended up wasting most of the dish. Chin Chin is a lot more $$ compared to some of the other WONDERFUL Chinese restaurants that we go to. Definately not worth the money. We have had our last meal at Chin Chin.
Our favorite Chinese restaurant. They’ve never disappoint us. I ordered Singapore Noodles while in China town, NYC last month and the dish was not as good as Chin Chin’s version. We also love that they have different versions of curry. If only they would make Egg Foo Young!
