  They accommodate for gluten free diners!. This particular location of Chin-Chin has gluten free soy sauce at their restaurant & they will modify meals for you. Finally, I can get Chinese again at a restaurant that doesn’t cost a fortune like PF Changs. For example, today, I got their Mongolian chicken lunch special for only $6.95 plus tax. I got white rice instead of the fried rice, gave the egg roll to my friend, ate the egg drop soup, and savored every part of my specially prepared meal. I am very picky on the quality of the chicken I eat & this was perfect. It was all sliced very thinly with no fat or gristle (it was white breast meat). My friend ordered the shrimp in lobster sauce off of the regular menu & said it was great. Also, the portions were a very nice size (on the larger side). I had wanted to get lunch from their Windward location because it is much closer to my work, but they do not accommodate for gluten free guests. I had to drive out of my way to get lunch here, but it was well worth it.

  This used to be good, but not anymore. We used to eat here at least once a week. Over time the food, and especially the service has gone down hill. I made specific requests for my food tonight, went and picked it up only to get home and find out that none of the requests had been fulfilled. I called to complain and was told they would remake the food and deliver it to me, I thought ok sounds like good customer service tried to please the customer. Not long after I got a call back from the owner saying she had talked to the cook and he insisted he had cooked it as requested (spicy, it was not, at all). So the cook lied to the boss and she called me back to tell me they refused to remake the order. I was not about to argue with her over such a petty thing, told her to forget about it and decided that I would never go back totally based on customer service and total rudeness, from the owner no less. She must be so arrogant that she does not believe in the principle that the customer is always right. I worked in the restaurant industry for years and could not beleive what I was hearing. Over a $10 order the owner got rid of a long time customer and motivated me to write this review (my first ever). So long Chin Chin, we will never be back. There are way too many good food options in the area to even think about it.
