Wonderful. Great experience. Enjoyed Hugo’s for dinner on our anniversary. They took care of us and treated us to free champagne and an awesome dessert. Quiet and romantic on a Monday night. The appetizers and main course were delicious. Matt, our server, was top notch. Will return soon and hope to check out their Sunday brunch.
Awesome valentines experience. We made reservations for valentines dinner and decided to get there early in order to have a drink beforehand. The girl at the bar was extremely friendly and nice and recommended some great in house cocktails which we enjoyed. We actually decided to stay at the bar and have our meal there and it was outstanding. The oyster sampler was amazing as was the redfish. The bread pudding was to die for as well.We were not expecting a whole lot and came out extremely satisfied. Definitely a must if you’re looking for a friendly seafood experience in roswell.
AMAZING Steak!. We went to Hugo’s with some friends last week and the food was, once again, AMAZING. I don’t eat seafood so I ordered the filet and it was the best filet I’ve ever had. I also had the fried mac n cheese which was also very good. For dessert, we had the bread pudding and of course it was right on the money. We will absolutely be back!
My take on the place; very solid service, food was a several steps past good, portions were spot-on, employees worked well together, manager was very visible and active at the kitchen window, easily matches the atmosphere of their Canton Street rivals. Admirable selection of wine and whiskey. I have a strong sense that these cats know what they are doing.
I’m hoping this place gets better with time!. I was so excited to see a new restaurant on a section of Alpharetta Hwy that needed some gentrification. Unfortunately, I don’t foresee this restaurant lasting very long unless they make some changes. First off, their cocktails were terrible. Secondly, the seafood’s quality was fine but the flavoring just wasn’t there. I was OK with the portion sizes they served as that is what I would suspect from a menu at that price point. The staff was very friendly but they need some education from their management team on the needs of gluten-free diners. The high points about the restaurant were that they had valet & would take reservations for small parties. I might give them a second chance, but it won’t be for a long time until I hear some rave reviews about it & see that it hasn’t gone out of business.
Has Potential. Went last night and hoped this place would stand out. I ordered a bowl of Manhattan Clam Chowder to start. Good portion and tasty but not a lot of clams. I had the fried oysters entree and while the menu claimed there would be eight, there were closer to 5 or 6. My wife had the Tuna and it was not seared. This could be a really good restaurant if they didn’t skimp on the portions, especially for what they charge. I don’t mind paying for good food, ample portions.
I had the blackened swordfish with andouille shrimp and instead of the green beans, I had potatoes. It was absolutely fantastic! We had a party of 8 and our server, John, was great! The oysters were small (simply because of the time of the year) but we will be back!
