Great place for lunch. Sitting on balcony is a nice change from many of the places in the area. Le grand bleu is an outstanding appetizer to try. Strawberry shortcake for dessert is not to be missed. The coffee, however, was disappointingly not good.
Very Disappointing. This is a cute place with very nice atmosphere. Unfortunately the staff is quite arrogant and the food could use a lot of work. I ordered a shrimp mushroom risotto which was the lunch special. The shrimp were dry and the mushrooms were reconstituted. The big problem is the reconstituted mushrooms were never soaked long enough, so they were like chewing on shoe leather. Mushrooms should not have the texture of steamed tree bark. Yuck! When we sent the food back, the waitress and hostess were almost unapologetic. How arrogant to barely even apologize when a customer sends food back to the kitchen! And that was the LUNCH SPECIAL!!Needless to say, we won’t be back.
I truly enjoyed every minute of my experience at beautiful Le Bistro! My husband and children came along and we each got an entre so we could try everything. The French Dip was fantastic – the French bread was freshly baked artisan bread and the beef was so unbelievably tender! The chicken and mushroom crepe was delicate and savory, the quiche lorraine was honestly the best quiche Ive ever had especially because of the crispy asiago cheese baked golden brown on top, and the croque monsieur was French perfection! I loved the selection of wines they offered by the glass (all hand selected downstairs from Roswell Provisions). They did an unbelievable job with creating the perfect ambiance and dcor- even down to the vintage black and white movies playing on the wall, including old footage of historic Roswell in the 1940s! Also were so glad that before we left we got to shop at their Provisions for Home store thats now in the back of the restaurant- what a great idea! Overall Le Bistro is magnifique!
