Some of these recent reviews might be from competitors or for a different Monterrey (see end of this review).. We’ve been going to Monterrey about 1x per week since they opened 10 +/- years ago. There is rarely a wait. Service has been close to perfect. Food quality is very good. We have seen the same waiters there for years, and they bust their butts. Best margaritas I’ve had. My only issue is with recent price increases, but who would like that? Like I said, the negative reviews here sound like they are for a different place. There is a Monterrey in Suwanee with the same name that is bad, so maybe there is confusion.
Service is horrible. We walked in an stood around awkwardly for someone to seat us. The hostess was sitting at a table chatting with her family. Some random waiter pointed us to a table. Waited forever to be brought a menu. Food was average. I’d rather have Taco Bell. Pricey food. Not worth the money. Waitress didn’t check us. Sat with empty drinks. Waitress/waiters kept going and hanging out at one table without helping us. Service is absolutely horrible. Do not go here.
Rip off alert! Don’t order coffee. The price is per cup. Full charge for each refill and you don’t find out until they bring the check.

Our family frequents Monterrey on a regular basis. We love the food, the atmosphere, but most of all the staff! Octovio is awesome!!
AWESOME PLACE. Monterrey is Awesome. The Staff is just as Awesome. All tho a few of the guys are not there anymore. A few of them that were there back in 2006 when I first walked in are still there. I can say after 6 years I can say there friends. When I walk in if it is every week or once in 6 months they remember your name and great you with warmth and welcome you in. The food is out of this world. There salsa and white cheese dip OMG is all i can say. Octovio Is an awesome MGR He knows how to treat his guests and his employees. Everyone I ever have taken there loves the service and loves the staff and is overwhelmed by the greatness of the food and its quality. I suggest that you give them a try. I would be willing to bet you would go back.
I have always loved Mexican cuisine. Monterrey has true authentic Mexican food and flavors. I love the Mexican themed atmosphere at Monterrey. I also love the food there as well. The service is always quick, always prompt, and always friendly. This place is always exquisite and phenomenal.
