Beautiful dining area and lovely outside patio seating. Servers and cooks execute flawless service and dishes from appetizer to dessert. Fungi pizza is the best I’ve ever had. Every entree I’ve ever eaten has been mouthwatering and well-portioned. I love the authentic espresso available. Most creative pastry chef, Micki, supplies us with endless gelato flavors. But, when listed on the dessert menu, you MUST try the fried ricotta with lemon curd.
Never Ever Again. What a expensive joke. First, one hour and fifteen minutes after we sat at our table our entree was served. Second my starter of melon, ham and cheese was poorly prepared. It appeared that they had sliced the melon into serving sized pieces, but I struggled with my knife to extract pieces to eat. Once the entrees finally arrived they were disappointing. My wife had the fish which she characterized as average. I had the spaghetti carbonara, it was extremely dry. We ordered digestive’s instead of dessert. Our server brought us a dessert, saying he wanted us to have it since it was his favorite. We thought it was an apology for the poor service and food. But no!!! He charged us for the dessert we did not order. We will never go back and I wiil make a point of advising others not to waste their time and money.
Didn’t make it past the driveway. It is insulting to require valet parking at lunch time in a parking lot smaller than my home driveway. Won’t be returning.
Nice atmosphere, good staff, but disappointing food. The outside seating was great and the staff was very attentive. We were disappointed in the quality of the food. The portions are small which is ok for fine dining, but the quality was just not there. My wife’s swordfish fillet was small and mainly consisted of bloodline meat, which she doesn’t care for. I had the oxtail/beef shortrib pasta which came out lukewarm. The tuna carpaccio was ok but nothing special and I agree with the other comments about the bread and olive oil being sub-par. We might give this place another try, but cannot recommend it. For what what you pay, you can get much better food and similar atmosphere at many other restaurants.
Jewel in the crown of Canton street. Gracious staff, wonderfully executed menu and a gorgeous setting. Had lunch outside sat. and couldn’t have hoped for a better experience. Home run!
Wonderful food and very friendly staff. One of the best on Canton Street.
A bit disappointig. Went there with two friends and hoped for a great food experience. it was the worst we all four ever had…just olive oil and soaked white bread, a salad with fresh arugula sprigs thrown in a bowl, shaved mozzarella and nothing but a strong vinegar taste, meal was the worst disappointment, sea bass had really no veggies or risotto or anything else but a small fillet of fish with a cooked fennel underneath and three caper. We expected really good food since the place was busy, but no. They do need a real ITALIAN chef for the money they charge.
