Had the bacon and cheese burger, simple but good and Priced right! Server was very attentive to me, surprised there isn’t a line out of the door!!
Overall ok. The waiter was nice but wasn’t as excited to have us as I would have preferred. The onion rings were large and had a good light batter with a good gorganzola based sauce. I ordered a bacon and cheese burger…the basics and it was good but not the best I’ve had. I would come back to give it another try.
The service was great. Not expensive. Great dipping sauces! Juicy Burgers. My picky kids are it all! They have season local brewed beers. Yummy!
Best burger I have ever had. Great place. Clean, cool look, GREAT BURGERS! I will travel an hour as I did today to eat here again.
Terrible Experience. I rate this as amongst of of our worst restaurant experiences and not because of the food (which was merely so-so) but because of the attitude of the server/manager (he told me he was the manager when I asked). We were there today to give this review a point of reference. By far, the rudest ‘manager’/server I’ve ever encountered in a restaurant anywhere. His attitude from the moment we walked in was unfriendly and not at all welcomingLet me start out with the ‘root beer float’. Have you ever had one? I have had many–just not one like this. None has ever been brought to me with a scoop of ice cream sloppily tossed in a glass and open bottle of root beer slapped down on the table for me to pour myself. Strike #1. (I don’t need to pay $5.50 for a small scoop of ice cream and an 8 oz bottle of IBC Root beer at a restaurant–it would cost me about $1.50 at home, if that. Secondly, when asked if we wanted condiments with our burgers (who eats dry burgers anyway, with nothing on them?), I said I wanted mayo and mustard. They were brought in small tin cups. Fine. However, they had been in the cups in a fridge so long that they both had crusts on the outer layer. I had to scrape away the crust on both the mayo and mustard to get to where it was soft!!! Yuck. Strike #2. The burger was fine. The fries were fine (although I asked how large the serving was and was told ‘just a small handful’ (I don’t need eat a lot of fries, so if they were large then we would have shared). When the bowl of fries came out it was enough fries for 2+ people. We did not need two orders for sure, but we got them as our server/manager said the order would be small. Wrong. So we paid for two orders leaving basically a whole order untouched (I won’t make this strike #3 but it could have been). I had a coupon from on line. I had it on my phone. Nowhere on the coupon did it say it must be printed. I made sure of this before we went. We don’t have a printer anyway. My thinking was that everyone takes coupons on a mobile device, because who wants to waste paper and kill more trees, right? Wrong. I tried to use it and he (server/manager) refused it. Said they couldn’t take it on a phone; it had to be printed. I pointed out that it did not say that on the coupon–as most coupons will say if they are required to be printed. He shrugged. I asked for the manager and he said he was the manager. I said we won’t be back. His response? He turned and walked away whistling. STRIKE #3! Don’t go here if you want decent service and someone (management) who cares about their customers. These people do not. Oh, we were the ONLY customers there. Not another person in the place. We won’t be back and I recommend all of you avoid the place as well.
Decor is nice, Food is ok, service sucks. Our waiter was short with us and seemed unhappy to be there
Really Good Burgers. Went to Stax for dinner and really enjoyed it. Their menu had a nice variety of traditional and unique burger choices. I had the pork and Chorizo burger with a side of Brussels spouts, my wife had the turkey burger. Both burgers were delicious. The pork and Chorizo was juicy with a good level of spice. My Brussels sprouts were also great. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside and worked well with the pancetta . I had a bite of the turkey burger. It was seasoned very well and wasn’t bland in the least. The service was very good and the staff friendly. Their prices are very reasonable. I definitely see more trips to Stax.
