You won’t believe this 🙂 Came in here 7 months later and still slow as molasses service. The food *does* rock, though. I’d say it’s a good place to bring a date you want chat up, etc. Work it that way.21 Sep, 2013Good but s-l-o-w. Went there tonight for the first time after hearing good reviews from friends. Sat outside, was a perfect Fri night for it. The place was about 1/2 full in and out. 18 minutes for the drink order to be taken, 15 more to bring it out. 25 more for the food to arrive. We ordered the green tea ice cream (yess!!) when the iced tea refill offer came awhile later. Good call as it took again quite some time to arrive. I sent the check to be rung up when the ice cream arrived. That part took awhile as well. Odd. The grouper was very very good, and the shrimp & scallops (garlic seafood) were excellent. Could’ve used a bit more unf in the spices imo but each to their own. Not bad, I’ll go definitely go back 🙂
Great food! The Spicy Basil chicken was great. Can’t wait to go back!!
Great Place!. We order Pad Thai and Green Curry with Tilapia. Food is delicious and fresh. Highly recommend it.
So bad, it was comical ! Not sure how they receive so many positive reviews – maybe a very off night in our case but the food was so below average . Service is attentive & friendly but the appetizers were stale & over cooked, the grouper was highly suspect & extremely fishy & the green curry pork was nightmarish ! Pad see eww was passable & everyone ate from my plate!
It’s was ok. I’ve eaten at many Thai places and the food here was a bit bland. I got the massaman curry with chicken (my fave Thai dish) and it lacked in flavor here as if they didn’t add enough massaman curry paste to the sauce. The chicken wasn’t flavored either. It wasn’t bad but just ok so I won’t be returning. My husband had the grouper and wasn’t impressed either. We will stick with Surin in Highlands or Tamarind Seed in Midtown. In the area, Thai Thai on Haynes Bridge is better and well priced.
Fabulous food, great service and delicious food. I’m a stickler for ordering the same food but I’ve made it my mission to order something different every time I visit. I’ve not been disappointed!
Best Thai OTP. I love, love, love this restaurant. My husband and I have been coming here for several years now, at least once a month, usually on a Sunday night (less crowded) and we’ve NEVER had a bad meal. The food is always fresh, spicy, and heavenly and the service is friendly and unobtrusive. I love the mixed vegetables with chicken (medium Thai spicy, which is American hot spicy), my husband loves their basil chicken. Our son likes their salmon, and the cashew chicken and masaman curry are great. Their spring rolls are to die for – I just have to control myself with them. The restaurant is clean, calm, and low-key. There is also a nice outside patio with heaters. Thank you Thai Emerald for many delicious, fresh meals! Do NOT change a thing!
