Not as advertised!. We were so excited to get some yummy dessert at The Pie Hole! Driving into the parking lot and finding the charming building add to our expectations. After eagerly stepping on the stepping stones and entering the building, the vibe was still good! The sparkling display case with beautiful pies that made our mouths water ramped it up a notch. We ordered a slice of the cherry and the classic apple pie….That’s where the story turns into a classic fail. The request to warm the pie was namer with nonchalance. We are our pie cold and it was far from delicious! The bottom crust on was hard and I edible and the spe pie, while picture perfect, had little taste. We also wanted to purchase a tee shirt (who wouldn’t, right?). And that process seemed more than the owner wanted to participate in. We did leave with one, however, this dining experience is not one that we will repeat.
Must Try It – Fantastic!. My family enjoyed 3 pies for Thanksgiving from The Pie Hole and all were fabulous! Highly recommend this fun shop and great product!
What a Treat. I love stopping by this delightful shop for a tasty treat of sweetness, or I preorder one of their chicken pot pies for dinner. I love the updates being made. Warm and cozy all around. Make sure to go by early for a better selection or preorder a whole pie if you have your heart set on a particular pie, as these delicious pies are baked daily without any preservitives. I’m dreaming about their apple pie and banana cream pie… I guess I’ll need to stop by again real soon.
Disappointed by new owner. This place has gone down hill since its been sold. The staff is not friendly and there are no regular communications about what they sell each day. Have gone in a couple of times in the early afternoon to find the place closed. The boys behind the counter didn’t know what they were doing and cut up my pie in all sorts of shaped and sizes that I didn’t want. it was such a great place and its a shame.
So disappointed by the new owner. I’ve been in twice since she took over, and both times found her to be unfriendly and borderline rude. I don’t care how good the pies are. A little kindness goes a long way.
Blind Sided. I had heard about The Pie Hole a while ago. Since my 9 yr old loves sweets we decided to find the place. We decided on the strawberry/rhubarb pie (of which I was very sceptical). Sweet Jesus! That pie was awesome. I am a little weird when it comes to pie crust. I do not like dry crust edges, so I almost always break them off. Not this time. I didn’t leave a crumb on my plate and neither did my daughter. I won’t buy a whole pie because I will eat it all. It is worth every dollar.
