Happy, happy. Our breakfasts were both huge and delicious. The waitress was attentive and friendly. The only complaint is that their small booths clearly aren’t intended for 2 people. Next time we will wait until a larger booth is available.
This is our favorite go to place on the weekends. It is always packed, so we typically get our food to go. Ryan is the best order taker. She listens carefully & reads your order back to you for accuracy. All of the staff members are friendly & work really hard there. The prices are cheap & the food is excellent. I love their buckwheat pancakes, scrambled eggs with cheese, & turkey bacon. My only criticism is that they don’t take American Express.
Unhappy!!!. I went to get lunch on 4/12/14. I sat in a small booth, 3 rd on the left. I was seated for about 5 to 10 minutes and was never acknowledged by the waitresses… The 2 booths in front of me were being served… And the one to the left of me also, but not me. So I left. Thumbs up is not the only show in town!!!
I’m a sucker for the Skillet Heap, an individual cast iron skillet full of seasoned potatoes, onions, peppers, and two eggs topped with melted cheese. I take my eggs poached and usually get a glass of fresh squeezed pulpy grapefruit juice. Their coffee tends to taste a bit like cowboy coffee – strong and bitter. Still, even tho I shared a town for three years with what’s supposedly the best brekkie in America, Big Bad Breakfast offers nothing that duplicates the satisfaction of The Heap. When I get back to Atlanta, this is always a meal high on my agenda. Service at this location is often fast, but near closing time, understandably it can get a tad spotty, nothing so bad that would discourage a future visit. One last thing, I have celiac disease and generally I get a gluten free meal free of cross contamination, unlike at the Edgewood location where waitstaff has rolled eyes at my allergy queries.
Very good food! Portions are big! The seasoned spuds are delicious! Would def recommend to anyone!
