Not sure…. I stopped in for lunch today just to try something new. The place is nice and clean. The staff was friendly enough, but I think the person at the register was new (i.e. they were slow). Nothing a little extra training can’t fix.I went with the Taco Combo plate with two Piri Piri Chicken tacos, one Tilapia taco, and Black Bean and Corn Salsa as my side. The chicken tacos, which had fried chicken pieces, were the better of the two styles. As ATLFoodsnob has stated, there is a lot of garnish on the tacos and the chicken definitely was the one where the flavors still came through. That’s the other thing, there isn’t a plethora of meat on the tacos, especially when compared to the slaw garnish. The tilapia taco was hard to tell that there was any fish in it, flavor-wise and visually. The black bean and corn salsa wasn’t bad at all, however, and when you take some of the slaw garnish off a chicken taco and add some of the salsa it makes it quite good.I just don’t know if this taco plate was worth it at the price they charge. I can get much better tacos within a few miles that have a lot more meat and less garnish for a cheaper price. I’ll have to come back again and try one of the fish or chicken meals, especially since the chicken isn’t fried when it’s a meal. I think these are probably the better options here, but I’ll have to find out for myself later.
Nice seafood. Must try once and you will love it. Try mushroom topping on fish. Its awesome. Piri piri sauces adds the real spice. I love the lemon and herbs piri piri sauce.
Ran in for a quick to-go order. I had the Hummus Wrap and cilantro slaw, YUM!!! I’ll be back!
Consistent Quality. Boneheads is nothing if not consistent. All locations crank out the same quality protein products served with their garnish and signature sauce. If I have to eat chain food/fast food this is a viable option. All of their tacos are good, but I think the chicken has the most flavor and its taste is the most discernible amongst the mountian of garnish it’s buried under; this is why I usually take half of it off. I also give them kudos for offering healthy sides like grilled asparagus and zucchini; their fries are even of the sweet potato variety! The other thing I like is the variety of hot sauces (four in all) to choose from, but stay away from the extra hot…it will hurt you!
Overpriced in my opinion, but the food is good. The fish is prepared well and their bonehead shrimp is very good as well! Plus its a fairly healthy option as well.
Consistently good seafood. I’ve eaten here on numerous occasions and it has always been good. The grilled shrimp and Talapia are both excellent. The selection of sides is interesting and always prepared well.
Best Seafood in Atlanta. I have eaten here a few times and have yet to be dissapointed in any aspect of the restaurant. The food is impecable!!!!
