My siblings and I treated my parents for 45th wedding anniversary. Total bill was 103.75 + 18.68 18% gratuity + 7.26 tax = $129.69. Credit of $75 for Groupon so $54.69 ending balance due. We paid $21 per plate for dinner portions during lunch hours. Out of all Jamaican restaurants I have patronized this was the most expensive place that provided the least amount of food! It was a regular sized plate and the dish didn’t even come with plantains… the oxtails consisted of 3 huge bones with tough unseasoned meat and the curry chicken consisted of parts of the chicken that we couldn’t ever recognize (Left on our plate). Lastly, my Groupon stated gratuity wasn’t included and when I receive my bill; it had (not 10%, not 15%) but 18% added to the bill! However, the waitress provided great service but NOT $18 worth!!! Island Cafe in Decatur is still my favorite… RIPOFFS!

Thrown off.. I am in Georgia for business. I reside in Connecticut/New York area. I have been dying for some Jamaican food. A coworker told me about going to Stone Mountain for some good food. But, that can be bit of a drive… depending on the time of day. So, I googled any Jamaican restaurants within my area and I found Chef Rob’s. Yesterday, I ordered the combo plate to Oxtail and Jerk chicken and it comes with Rice & Peas and steamed veggies. I ordered over the phone and the service was good. The location was very nice and clean. Upon my order being completed and ready for bagging she showed me the order. I asked why does the Jerk chicken resemble Brown stew chicken? She said, that it is just the sauce they use. I advised her this was my first time here, but I’m very familiar with JA cuisines. However, the presentation was good. She advised, I will like it! When I arrived home, the chicken was partially cooked and it tasted like brown stew chicken – there was nothing spicy or of flavorful seasoning of Jerk Chicken. Extremely disappointed! The oxtail wasn’t too bad and the rice & peas and the side order of plantains were good. Needless to say, I am extremely nervous to try something else and be disappointed again. So, its possible, I will have to make the Stone Mountain drive. sigh.

Great Service. GREAT food, great staff, great service, great atmosphere. Looking for something different…try Chef Rob’s. You will be pleasantly surprised! Used a groupon for 4 — $75 worth of food; Our bill was $85 (not bad) — 4 entrees and 2 appetizers — and we all left with a to go box. GREAT, GREAT, GREAT
