I should have listened to my gut feelings about this place. The place was not busy for a Saturday night. The waiter was a rude when taking our order. We watched as 2 other tables received there food before us. 30 min later we finally got our food. I ordered a chuychanga with churro beans. It look like the plate was sitting for a while by the look of the sauce. The food was salty and had a chemical taste to it. When I told the waiter we didn’t want what we ordered he took our plates and rolled his eyes. And continued to take forever to give our bill. Eat at your own risk.
Always a great experience! Try one of their specialty margaritas that are out of this world! Salsa is very fresh and unique and staff always seems upbeat!
Keep it moving….nothing special here….. Tried this place out last night as a friend said it was good. I will be having a talk with him today because this place was a limp balloon.My burrito was dry and my wife Sunday special was pretty much chicken tenders wrapped up in a tortilla with some sauce. Not going to trash this place, just will not be back. We even met my boss their and he said he decided to come because we wanted to but he said he should have spoke up and told me it was not that good. Oh well, you win some you lose some. 35$ towards something that filled a hollow spot.

My favorite Mexican in Atlanta. It’s different than most Mexican places around here, it actually tastes fresh and delicious! You can watch them make tortillas, which is pretty cool. They serve delicious, fresh food and you can customize it easily by choosing from their sauce menu. I highly recommend and even took someone from Texas here, and they loved it too!
Better than average Tex Mex. Very good chips and salsa. They have a more watery salsa but it tastes very fresh and has a good spice level. They also serve a special dip that is made with ranch dressing and tomatillo salsa that is delicious and like nothing I have ever had in any other Mexican place. I had the Carne Guisada tacos, which was basically a small bowl of beef stew served with guacamole (very good), pico, rice, beans, cheese and corn tortillas. The rice and beans were nothing exciting but overall it was a delicious lunch for $9. Quick service and interesting decor. Will go back to try more dishes and the margaritas.
OK for Happy Hour. Atlanta is a great restaurant town. Chuy’s is not a great restaurant. It’s not even good, actually. It’s the sort of place you go to only because it’s conveniently located. The margaritas are decent. What can you say about beer.. they have it. You can’t get wine by anything other than the glass, and they charge almost $5 for a glass of Barefoot. The food is edible, but nothing special. You’ll get better Tex-Mex at El Azteca, Uncle Julio’s, or Taqueria del Sol. One good thing about Chuy’s.. it’s inexpensive. Most entrees are under $10.
