Nice surprise. Great Turkish/Eastern European dishes. We tried the lahmajoun pizza (minced and spiced meat pizza) and it was nice and crispy. We tried the assorted grilled sampler and all meats were tender and nicely spiced. The bread was awesome. Can’t wait to come back again
My pizza was cold to the point that the cheese was soild. The crust was soggy and it had a sweet smell. This is not New York Style pizza not even close. I am from the bronx. This by far is the worst pizza I had in Atlanta. To add insult to injury. I called the owener to complain about it. He said there was nothing he could do and hung up in my face. If your food is going to be subpar at least have good customer service. I will never eat here again. I support those who value there customers.
Iskembe is a traditional eastern european and mediterranean dish. It’s a soup made with beef tripe. While many places might have something similar on their menus, it’s really hard to find an authentic, delicious meal, made in-house, and always fresh. Il forno on Roswell Rd. is the one place in Atlanta that excels when it comes to this dish. It’s always available, made fresh everyday, along with their right out of the oven bread rolls.You just can’t stop eating! And their prices are more than reasonable, considering the area. Next time you want to get on original mediterranean dish that’s going to have you never want to eat something else again, visit Il Forno!
