Plain bad.. This is the first negative review I have ever written about a restaurant, but I couldn’t help myself this time. My husband and I just stopped by La Madeleine to have breakfast. We don’t eat often so I was looking forward to this treat. He ordered two eggs and a croissant, and I order Parisian Benedict eggs ( poached eggs on top of a croissant with ham and hollandaise sauce ), and a bowl of fruit to share. We got the fruit right away, the attendant grabbed the bowl from the refrigerator behind the counter, even though they have fresh cut fruit displayed right in front. I immediately noticed that it didn’t look fresh, but didn’t say anything right away because there were other customers behind us. When we sat , and tried to eat the fruit, it was inedible. The fruit had lost its color, it looked see-through around the edges and the watermelon was soft and limp. I have never seen a limp watermelon before. That salad had been in the refrigerator for days. Then our breakfast came. My husband’s was ok, but mine was a disaster. The hollandaise sauce was completely curdled. It looked so disgusting I don’t understand how anybody can serve something like that. I felt bad because I had already complained about the fruit, so I sent my husband to ask the attendant to give me another one, with FRESH sauce on the side. After waiting for a long time, they brought my plate to the table with the same curdled sauce (this time on the side, though, jus in case). No apologies, no offer to get something different. Nothing. I’m guessing that the manager wasn’t there since it was a sunday morning, but they do need to train their employes better, and raise their standards for other customers, because I can’t imagine going back.

I have been to several locations in Louisiana and Texas. This location is by far the worst I have visited. Shame on my for coming back 3x expecting a change. The counter ppl don’t understand English very well and always mess up my order. I’ve sent my Croque Monsieur back twice cause they keep burning it

Very good. It was an excellent lunch. I had the Croque Monsieur and to my surprise it was very authentic to the French was of cooking it. It was also very delicious. I will be back many more times.

Pretty Nice. This place isn’t that bad. I like the decor; almost a rustic cabin kind of feel to it. It’s kind of cafeteria style how you have a tray and select your food as you go down the line. If you order something they have to make then you’re given a stand-up wooden spoon with a number on it to take to your table. The service was warm and friendly, not unlike their fireplace!I had a half Turkey Bistro sandwich with the Pasta Salad and Mushroom Soup. The sandwich was pretty good, but nothing special. It’s turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, provolone and a sun-dried tomato pesto on some nice and toasty sourdough bread. The pasta salad wasn’t too bad either. It also had the sun-dried tomato pesto. The Mushroom soup was the letdown of the meal; it wasn’t bad, but the bits of mushroom were absolutely tiny. I would’ve liked to have had some sliced mushrooms in there. Overall, I think this is a pretty good lunch spot near Perimeter Mall. It’s nice and cozy with some good sandwiches and soups at a reasonable price.
