Hailing from the middle east, any place with average quality of arabic food wins me. But this one was a real topper on the charts! Excellent taste of the food, subtle and cozy ambience, and lively crowds on a weekend night totally put it up on the list of good arabic food restaurants in the country. We ordered for Chicken koobideh, which was just beautiful. Very tender, juicy and flavourful. Ordered the shiraz salad and Hummus as well, both really good and very close to the food we get in the middle east. Also, ordered the Chicken Barg which was a creamy saffron preparation, not the best but still very good. A little high on the pocket, but totally worth the taste, health quotient and flavour. Full marks for trying to bring a part of the actual food to the United States.
Excellent preparation and presentation! Uber driver recommended it and we decided to check it out. Simply awesome. The place was packed even on a weekday. Great food, ambience and staff.
Food used to be better. For the price it is still ok. One has to know when to go, there are times that it takes 30 minutes to get to the valets. Reason for 1 star is that I went for a walk after eating, when walking I saw the valets accelerating the vehicles, they were getting up to 40mph in less than 200 feet. They appear to do this since they have to get the vehicles from somewhere else. When I got my vehicle back, it seemed fine, but I do not feel comfortable giving my car to the valets anymore there. I will probably will not go again for that reason.
Went to rumi’s kitchen with a set of friends on a Monday night. To our surprise the restaurant had a long waiting for the first working day of the week. We were finally seated and immediately ordered for a basket of Pita breads with hummus along with a bottle of wine. The hummus was average and the pita bread was a bit dry. Then we ordered chicken and lamb tikka kebabs and they were succulent and cooked to perfection. Pita bread basket I believe was unlimited and we got too many of that to order more. Ambience was good.
A nice unique experience. I am looking forwarding to bringing friends and family back. A colleague & I shared our lunch at Rumi. We loved the starter of walnuts, cheese pita bread and fresh herbs. This was so much better than just placing bread down on the table. We also shared the shrimp appetizer, the beef kabobs( differently titled but I can’t remember the name) and the lamb sliders. We enjoyed the aroma of the foods while we waited & all was yummy. The restaurant is very cool inside & the very, needed valet welcome. I will be back!
Lamb Kabob*. Fantastic food. My husband said it’s the best lamb he’s had in his life and he ain’t no spring chicken! Go there for lunch unless you’re rich.26 Mar, 2015Ghormeh Sabzi. Absolutely wonderful! Warm pita with feta, walnuts, olives, radishes, mint and tarragon. And you don’t have to order it. It comes to your table in place of bread + butter.
