One of the best Sushi places in town. Small place makes you feel special. Only negative thing is that the tables are so close to each other and weekends are very crowded. Love the food and service. Highly recommended
Do yourself a favor and go to Taka. Went here because I had heard a lot of good things. Ignore the pictures that you see online of the restaurant interior. I was prepared for some kind of drab environment, but in the evening it was warm and romantic. Get a table inside. Don’t do that patio. Although the weather was nice enough for us to be outside inside you get to see Chef Taka Moriuchi at his craft. We ordered the tuna tartare to start. Deep red in color. Beautifully presented. A flavor similar to Korean cucumber kimchi that didn’t overpower the delicate tuna. We savored every bite. We followed this with the sashimi dinner and the chef’s choice of sushi nigiri. The fish was fresh and cut neatly. The only time I have had any fresher is when I actually saw it pulled from a tank and prepared immediately. It’s truly amazing to have this quality in Atlanta.Portion sizes are what they should be. Anyone who says they are small are just too used to American dining establishments placing quantity over quality. We left satisfied and not stuffed. And no, it’s not the cheapest sushi, but I wasn’t going there to save a buck. I was willing to pay a premium for a premium experience. If you really enjoy sashimi and sushi nigiri, this is your place.
The best!. I have to laugh at some of these reviews where all the people ate were rolls. You don’t go to Taka to eat anything but sashimi. If you want rolls, go to Ru Sans.Taka is the best in Atlanta. End of story.
Disappointed. I had sushi lunch. I was very disappointed by the quality of sushi and even salad and miso soup. I like the restaurants where the price and the food quality match, which was not true for this restaurant. Lettuce was red/ yellow, no bonito taste was felt in miso soup and sushi quality was just no good. I believe they can do better….
Good good food but the service sucks get better service at McDonald’s
Yummy sushi for lunch today! I had the super crunch it was great and fresh
GREAT Sushi!!!. The fish is fresh and the menu is creative. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate. You will not be disappointed with a night out at Taka.
