We decided to try this place based on good reviews. I cannot say we had the same experience. The seating is very close together and not very private. Our drinks took over 20 minutes to get and our table was 5 steps from the bar. Now for the worst part. We waited almost an hour for the entrees to arrive and only one of two arrived. The staff then tried to rush the missing entree only to bring out an incorrect one. Finally the entree arrived and was so bland to taste. The entree was small for the price but could have been fine if the flavor was acceptable. The worst part it was a special entree of the night. A wasted night in Savannah to say the least
Everything has potential to be amazing. The ambiance, presentation of the food, ingredients etc everything is on point, but then when you taste the food it’s bland and have no flavors. We ordered many dishes to share to try different things, but with exception of their homemade ketchup, everything was bland and boring. I will not come back.
Maybe and off night but not overly pressed. The foi gras app was very good but the seafood pasta was swimming in sauce which overpowered the dish. Also a good white Italian wine ( ie Pinot Grigio) is very easy and there’s was awful.
The food was perfect & so flavorful. The service was fantastic as well. Very knowledgable, classy, friendly, & helpful. This is a great spot for a nice night out.
Not a tourist meal. We were here in Savannah for a conference and looking for something local yet not like what is down by the river and we scored! We got there early before our reservation and they were able to seat us. Service was great, ambience nice (we were in the back room) and food was perfect. Light, fresh, perfectly seasoned. The scallops were perfectly cooked, crab cake was very well seasoned, the low boil was great with the corn flan a nice complement and seafood pasta sauce was great but not heavy. Would definitely recommend to anyone!
Wonderful atmosphere and food. Low Country Boil was a delightful colection of flavors. Peas and Carrots (with scallops) was superb. Skip the Deviled Egg appetizer, very bland.
Great food and atmosphere. Everyone was friendly from the bartender to the waiters. Let the tourists pack mediocre spots down the road and enjoy making the right choice!
