The Atlantic is a fantastic foodie restaurant outside of the touristy area of Savannah. It’s more of a hang out for the locals. It is a certainly a center for style. Guests dressed in their flashy fashion…a great place to people watch. It’s a small cozy place but do offer outside seating if the weather permits. They have dedicated bar service for those outside waiting for dinner so it really becomes a natural part of the experience. Wine is served in coated metal cups which are both concrete friendly and pleasurable to drink from (glad to avoid plastic outside). The place is decorated in antiques. The food was creative and artfully prepared. We enjoyed a chicken mushroom piccata which featured large mushrooms that looked and tasted like chicken breast. We also enjoyed a tomato pasta dish that was creamy and savory good. Noodle quality was fantastic, likely made fresh in-house. The caramel custard made for a decadent dessert! Wine selection is excellent, including those available by the glass. Be sure to check the wait staff shoes. Converse sets the theme, as if a restaurant sponsor.
