After a long day site seeing, we decided to stop by Cafe at City Market for lunch. Our experience here was bad from the start. We ordered a coca cola and a sprite. Understand that these are from the soda fountain and as it is has not much fizz to it but the drinks smelled and tasted awful and were returned back. The food – the veg pasta had too much of white sauce and no vegetables. The spinach artichoke dip with the bread was just ok. The blackened chicken pasta and the two otjer fish dishes we ordered was not great at all. It looked as though the food was prepared hastily and just dumped on the plates without much care for plating ethics or presentation. Maybe it was end of shift or whatever but….On the whole, the restaurant seating outside appeared nice since you can see the whole street activities and the street atmosphere was nice being a Sunday. But we the food taste and presentation was really not great at all.

We were the only ones there. We took the kids after a 10 hour car ride – we needed something close and easy. Food was ok. Service was great, but of course it was as the only ones there. The decor was struggling – cardboard cutouts of Marilyn Monroe were tired. I think if it would have been warmer and we sat outside, it would have been better. Skip this, savannah has more to offer.

Service for Sunday morning was horrid. Sat for more than an hour with one up of coffee and to get a cold plate of biscuits and gravy. Way too many other choices to have this kind of service. Never again.
