GREAT!. Our family travels a lot and we frequently use restaurant.com certificates to dine out. I see several negative comments below because the diner didn’t understand the ‘rules’ for using the certificates. That shouldn’t detract from the review of the restaurant.We dined there the other night and all we can say is wow…wonderful. I had the pork carnitas and they were perfectly cooked. My wife and younger son shared the hungry hombre…delicious! And our 16-year old son took a shot at the El Gordo Burrito. For $6.99 the El Gordo is probably the BIGGEST burrito I have ever seen…imagine the size of 2 or 3 maybe 4 Taco Bell XXL Burritos in one. Our server was very good. This is a place where you can get a terrific Mexican dinner at a fair value. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I found it odd that the place wasn’t busy considering it was lunch time and the other restaurants in the plaza were packed but we were about to find out why…Our server was nice, she brought our drinks immediately and we didn’t wait long for our food to arrive. I got the tacos with a side of a rice. I tend to judge a mexican place by the quality of their taco and rice. It’s simple. If you don’t nail that, I don’t think I can venture further into the menu.Anyways, the tacos were alright. The thing that bothered me was I ordered rice but there were huge chunks of potato in my rice, so much that it looked more like I ordered potato pieces with a sprinkle of rice on top. If you aren’t picky and you are in the area and pressed for time, this is the place for you. I can honestly say that we never went back.
Very Rude People. I tried to order food today and the people could not speak or understand english! the they set the phone down thinking i couldnt hear them. and they basically cussed me out and called me an idiot. suprisingly they cussed in English!
Authentically Mexican. The food at Cancun Mexican Restaurant is so good that it makes me want to learn to speak Spanish with a southern drawl. Although the menu items are somewhat typical, the food is excellently prepared and served hot. Service has always been efficient and friendly. We have also found them to be flexible. As a side note, we recently used one of the $25 coupons purchased through restaurants.com, followed the instructions outlined on the coupon, and had no problems whatsoever. We plan to return often.
