Things seem to have turned around!. The staff was lovely and funny and understanding. My friend spilled her gigantic Margarita and just moved our table do we could continue eating! also comp’d her new one! Food is great and for cheap! love it.
I didn’t travel to Georgia with the expectation of finding mind-blowing Mexican food. I am also fully aware that being Mexican doesn’t necessarily translate to being excellent at preparing Mexican food. Carlito’s has the look and the location but sadly the food embraces mediocrity with utter zealousness. My sincere hope for this place with great potential, is that they ditch their gargantuan menu and focus on maybe ten menu items….but make these items fresh, wholesome, and authentically Mexican. No canned enchilada sauce, no processed cheese, and no serving the food at lukewarm temperatures.
