I like Denny’s food offerings. They have a good variety and are consistent whether in California or Georgia. People who work there (in every location I have ever been to) are always nice.My issue is that whatever I order always has things left off that I have to ask the server to get that I clearly ordered. Sometimes it is their oversight and sometimes the cook left it off. Giving out additional napkins when the order is served – you are only given one with the utensils – and a quick coffee refill would be good too. Regardless, I am not the only one who would appreciate the staff being attentive to these pretty simple type of things. How about a focus training that could reduce these service issues? They are good people who aim to please and they deserve the opportunity to take pride in their skills.
Denny’s on Abercorn. Well, it is a Denny’s, so you really should not expect gourmet dining or any Michelin three-star listing by any means. In all honesty, this location is not as horrible as other reviewers make it out to be. Where do you people come from? My partner and I, along with my siblings, dragged in here at a most un-godly hour for some grub and coffee. Our service was decent, the food was decent, and the coffee was hot. That makes university students happy enough.My partner chose the Belgian Waffle Slam. To me, his bacon looked better than mine. His strips were somewhat limp, so he traded with mine since he likes them crispy. Everything else about his meal was fine. He likes Denny’s waffles anyway.I chose the French Toast Slam, which was good enough. The bacon was a little too crispy, but not burnt. Remember, I traded with my partner above. The scrambled eggs were fine for me, but would be bland to most anyone else. The French Toast was sweeter than I remember, yet good enough. I think mine had extra sugar.

I wish I would have read the reviews before coming here. Apparently nothing has changed or improved in years. Stay away.
HORRENDOUS. We sat there for thirty minutes and watched them seat everyone but us. WITH OPEN TABLES AVAILABLE. We weren’t even acting poorly! We sat there minding our own business. When I went up to ask the hostess about it, she blatantly ignored us as if we were useless. We would have tipped better than everyone in there. Worst denny’s I’ve EVER been to. DONT go here.
