The Exchange Tavern had your typical seafood gastropub fare. The service was good and it’s on River Street so the view is great. As for the food the grouper fingers appetizer was incredible. The gator dog was good, plenty of spice and flavor. The French dip was typical. Good food for a slightly tourist price and overall a worthwhile lunch spot.
Excellent. Great food at reasonable prices and the best service we’ve had in a long time. Don’t be afraid to try the fried food because it’s delicately breaded and handled with care.
Oh my! What a find! I got the hot bread and garlic cheese (for dipping), and it was the highlight of my meal. Definitely worth it! The Onion soup was delicious and the potato salad was something to brag about. The service was excellent as well! We’ll definitely come back the next time we’re in Savannah.
Great Club Sandwiches. The Exchange Tavern is a Savannah tradition where the normal fair includes outstanding entres, sandwiches, and salads prepared to satisfy any palate. The environment is pleasantly rustic and clean. Service has always been exemplary. My favorites include fried green tomatoes, the Classic Club sandwish, and German potato salad.
