This is the best sandwich shop in Savannah and is conveniently located a block away from Forsyth park, making it a perfect option for park food! Its a Brooklyn diner fused with southern flare. Brian sources his bagels directly from New York so they are authentic. He is an international cook that has owned restaurants in multiple countries. He has a passion for pastrami. I enjoyed the Fork & Dagger Cuban which was heavenly! I have not been there for breakfast yet but have heard many raving reviews of the Pig & Grits (pulled pork over cheese grits topped with a fried egg). And the cheesecake…oh the cheesecakes! You must get a slice of cheesecake. That is how I initially learned of Brian. He makes the best cheesecakes I have ever had. They are dense (Im not a fan of fluffy cheesecake) and I believe he has over 50 flavors. I have tried many flavors but my favorite remains the original NY Style Cheesecake. It has a magical flavor that really sets it apart! My other favorites are Hazelnut with Fig and Port Wine (close second to NY style) and Chocolate Bourbon Carmel.
