Gryphon Tea Room is located inside a renovated pharmacy. It is a time capsule back to the 30s. Gryphon employees SCAD students, so you know your tips are helping create great future artists. The food is pretty good, nothing to die for, but they offer the best traditional English tea in town, and a daily quiche.
Nice place to take grandma to lunch. It was a nice atmosphere when I went. But not my cup of tea, pun intended. Great place for a lunch date or something like that.
Long wait, annoying music. At first the Cole Porter on the player piano was charming. After the same 4 songs played over and over during the 2 hours it took to have 4 mediocre sandwiches for our lunch, we had heard enough. Undercooked potatoes in the salad. tasteless turkey. but the salmon sandwich was very good. I would not return.
Wonderful place!! At first, we thought we were dressed a little too casually, but were quickly assured by the staff that it was fine. Our waiter, Stephen, was amazing – kind, patient, and helped us make wonderful choices off of the menu. All 3 of us loves our meals, and dessert too. The restaurant itself is very interesting with lots of cool decor to look at. Would highly recommend to anyone!
Must go!. Stopped in and sat at the counter for some vanilla tea and scones. Both were delicious but the real treat is the atmosphere. Absolutely gorgeous place, a must after an afternoon stroll through historic Savannah.
Hot diggity dog. This place is excellent! The food is fantastic. Their drinks are amazing. The decor is perfect. This place is a MUST.
Excellent view, excellent service, excellent food.. Great corner tea room right off Madison Square. Eat outside and you get a great view of the square. Eat inside and you have a great atmosphere. Can’t go wrong with the food. A little pricey, but worth every penny. Ingredients are fresh, and the tea is the best in the city.
