We went here last night and ordered the Chefs Tasting Menu with Wine Pairing. We had wonderful service and wonderful food. We weren’t rushed. Our server knew what he was talking about. Someone was always there filling up our water and clearing plates. We spent 3 hours eating and tasting. We always had food in front of us. There wasn’t a lull. It was a fantastic date night. The only negative thing was that as the night got later the place got louder….might have been all the wine that was flowing 🙂
Not worth the money. I went to this place with a small group to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We walked in, loved the atmosphere, had nice cocktails and appetizers on the rooftop bar and then came back downstairs for dinner. Our waiter could not have been nicer. But then we received a text from an out-of-town friend who asked if we had received bottle of wine she had paid to be sent to our table she had called about this ahead of time and we received her text toward the end of our meal. We all thought it was odd that this wasn’t brought to our table when we sat down, much less even mentioned to us. Once we let the hostess and manager know, the wine was finally brought out. We then asked the hostess if she would call a cab for us, but she never let us know that it had arrived and then she left for the night. After waiting for a pretty long time, we asked the manager about it and he said that the cab had come and gone since we never took it, without apology. We had already paid our pretty large bill at this point so we had to wait another 30 minutes or so for a second cab to come.It wasn’t so much the events that transpired as the way that the hostess and general manager responded to it kind of like it was our problem, not theirs. We were sitting at the restaurant’s prime table right near the hostess station, so it didn’t really make sense that they wouldn’t take the time to look after us. All in all, this place has a really awesome atmosphere. The food was good, but not particularly special, especially for the price point. All of the staff was really nice and accommodating except for the hostess and the general manager, ironically. It was a disappointment to go to a restaurant that seems to pride itself on such a high-quality of service but then be so nonchalant with its patrons.
Farm to table, local sourcing is a great concept. Have enjoyed this many places. Execution at Local 1110 well below expectation. Flavor combinations missed the mark. Too bad; nice venue, pleasant staff, good wine list.
Scallops were very salty and the bison sausage salad was horrible. Definitely don’t waste your money here. Go to the Pink House!
Well, after much anticipation after over an hour of waiting…sloppy presentation and food was MEH. Sad…so much potential.26 May, 2014Place looks great and food seems good but we have been waiting for one hour and still nothing to eat. Really. Not acceptable. I will never be back even if the food is amazing.
Mussel appetizer was tasty, had the grilled grouper, enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service.
Forsyth Park Gem. My family dined at the restaurant on Saturday, July 27, 2013, for an early dinner at 6:00 p.m.I had read numerous glowing articles regarding the establishment and their use of local and seasonal ingredients. Our server Casey was helpful and friendly throughout the evening. He recommended the stuffed rabbit appetizer which was a special for that day and guided us through other selections which we appreciated. We ordered three entres which included an 8 ounce filet mignon; North Carolina frog legs which was accompanied by a farmhouse succotash, bacon and arugula; and charred Beaufort County octopus which came with tomatoes, watercress, marinated feta and shaved onions. The meal was innovative and unique. The dished were plated beautifully and prepared to our liking. The restaurant certainly deserves the accolades that they have earned.
