Best restaurant in all Savannah. We liked tried something different and we find this spot in southside. We loved this food is One of kind the owners very friendly this restaurant is a gem period… is in Montgomery xrd tried and you understand what we talk about it.
Bad food and bad service. I was encouraged to go to this restaurant by my friend. She knows how to cook puerto rican food and I went to culinary school. We were so excited to finally get to go eat some authentic food that we didn’t have to cook. We ordered the pork with onions, rice and beans. The pork had no flavor and the onions were not cooked. Upon saying something to the waitress, we were told that Adobo was on the pork. (it was not, there was nothing) Nothing was ever offered or done about it. We expected some wonderful flavors, not bland boring food. To top it all off, we could hear one of the ladies in the kitchen refer to me as the one who did not like the pork. It’s nice to have a friend that is fluent in Spanish. This is an unwelcoming and pitiful representation of what a puerto rican restaurant should be. Don’t go there, it’s not worth it. I hope the owners check up on their employees. I know that they weren’t there. It is a shame, because I had heard such good things. A real disappointment!
This place may be small but it makes food big in flavor… It tastes just as good as grandma’s food, if you love savory, flavorful food this is the place to come. If you’re from Puerto Rico and you miss home cooking then I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!!! Stop by order the Mofongo with carne frita, a Malta India and finish it all off with a slice of flan de queso, you will not be able to move 🙂
Authentic and Delicious!. The monfongo with shrimp and garlic sauce was among the best I’ve ever had. They serve it with a wonderful cilantro/garlic oil to dip in that was out of this world. Also ordered a side of yellow rice, beans, and sweet plantains….all delicious. Next time, I will save room for the coconut flan.
