Dead Duck. Went to the Sapphire Grill last night. Things started off wrong and got worse. My friend ordered for his Starter the Roasted Canoe Bone Marrow & Crisp Nantucket Diver Scallops. No it clearly states this is a Bone Marrow and Diver Scallop dish. The waitress confused herself and brought him the starter he ordered plus a separate starter of Diver Scallops. Because they had already prepared the dish and there were four of us we said. Just leave it we will eat it anyway. But no matter to them they just whisked it away. My lovely wife had the Sapphire Grill Bouillabaisse. This was an attractive dish with lots of herbs and spices. The trouble for me started when I ordered the duck. Now to qualify myself; I have eaten duck all over the world. I have eaten it every way it can be prepared. I have had it in Germany, France, Italy, Ireland and even in Chinatown San Francisco. To cook a duck properly it takes hours of slow roasting and a fair bit of knowledge. To get around all this high time, high labor and high expenditure of knowledge the modern restaurant has come up with the Seared Duck Breast This is a method where you through a duck breast into a skillet Turn the heat on high Burn the cold breast on two sides and drop it on a plate blood red on the inside and only at room temperature. It is enough to make poor old Julia roll over in her grave. Of all the Thousands of ducks I have eaten this was the worst. I have had duck cooked this way before. This one may have put an end to me ever eating a seared duck breast again.

Excellent service and delicious dinner. We had a wonderful dinner and a great server who explained how dishes were prepared and what we could expect from each. This is a wonderful choice when you are visiting Savannah. Highly recommend.

Excellent. First time in Savannah, this restaurant has a cool, chic vibe. Our server was very attentive, although it was fairly slow for a Friday evening. The food was delicious…I had a salad and then the Grouper which was fresh and very good. Husband had tenderloin and he raved…he is very picky with his filets and he was very pleased. Would recommend for couples looking for nice, upscale dinner in a cool, bar-vibe setting.

Great Food and Service!. Went to the Sapphire Grill for our anniversary. We decided to do the 6 course tasting and wine pairing. It was great! Every course was delicious and the wine pairings were perfect for the food. The service was outstanding and timing of each course was just right, not too fast, not too slow, giving us time to savor the wine. We definitely will be recommending this and also returning!

I have eaten here 2 times and both times were an amazing experience!! First time I had the 6 course tasting and it was flawless, second time I had the garlic seared Margaret duck which was the first time I have ever eaten duck and it was perfect. The service staff is friendly and very knowledgable of their menu. Service is not slow but appropriately paced, is a good way to put it. I understand that when you dine at establishments like this you wait for quality and i have no issues with that. Chef is very nice and skilled, they didn’t have A-1 sauce so instead of saying no we don’t have that the chef made some from scratch!!!!! And It was better than the original…… Great place will always count on sapphire for a sure thing

Amazing food and flavors! Did the 6 course tasting. Was well worth the money. My favorite course lobster with ricotta cheese sweet corn! Well worth the trip. We will definitely go again!

Good solid upscale experience! Steaks are very good, as they should be. Try the clams and octopus app, crab cakes were good but small. For dessert, the berry souffle was great!
