Great New Location & Menu. Savannah Rum Runners recently moved to their new location and became a cafe!! They added breakfast and lunch menu! I had a turkey bacon sandwhich on their fresh baked bread and it was very good! Also had a cup of their soup and that was even better!! I am so happy that they added to their already great menu. Order many a cake from them and will continue – it is worth the extra miles to get there. The new place is smaller but really cute!
Don’t Bother. The customer service is terrible. The people working there act as though it’s a burden to take your order. What really upset me was seeing them being very, very rude to an elderly woman who had a question about one of the pastries on display.
Great Special Cakes. I have a friend who has many diet restrictions and they were able to make a cake for him and it was the best!! Didn’t even know that it didn’t have some of the regular cake fixins!!!! Give them a call and they will help you !!11 Oct, 2011Great cakes & service. I have had many cakes from Savannah Rum Runners and have never had one that I didn’t like! They have always been very friendly and made my cakes to order. They are the only place we go for birthdays and special occasions.

Don’t Waste Your Money. From a recent letter to the editor of the Savannah paper:We recently celebrated a significant wedding anniversary and ordered a large sheet cake from a locally owned bakery (Rum Runners). My wife gave very specific instructions for the cake which was to serve 60 people. When we picked up the cake it was not what we had ordered. As the party was to start in an hour, we had no option but to take the cake. After the weekend, my wife told the manager about the cake and how disappointed we were with it. The manager offered no apologies nor did she offer any recompense. Friends have had similar experiences. Go to one of the other bakeries in town of Publix.
It is awful!!!!. My daughter ordered a birthday cake and paid $10.00 extra to have it fashioned after juicy fruit gum. when she arrived, not only did the cake not look like a stick of juicy fruit gum, the words were poorly piped and the entire cake looked extremely amateurish. When she asked why the cake was not as requested, she was informed that due to copyright infringement, it was not possible. This is understandable – but why was she not told this at the time of order and further more – WHY WAS THE $10 EXTRA NOT REFUNDED – since the reason for the $10 extra was to upgrade the look of the cake and this was not accomplished. SPEND YOUR MONEY AT PUBLIX OR EVEN WAL-MART BUT AVOID SAVANNAH RUM RUNNERS

They didn’t even give me the kind of cake I ordered!!!! They didn’t put the topper on the cake, all the cupcakes were haning over the paper. It looked like an eight year old made the cake.
