In a beautiful bricked basement with period furniture and roomy classic atmosphere.We ordered the 2 spring rolls for apps and they were fresh and light. I had the crab cakes and they we wonderful! My husband had the seafood sampler and could not finish it ! The rolls that arrived quickly were warm and melt in your mouth. This restaurant is tucked away but well worth the killer steps one block up from the touristy river street choices!
Amazing service, great Food!. My partner and I, who are originally from GA, had a reception here to celebrate our wedding with friends and family because many of them couldn’t come to our ceremony in Washington. We had to book from across the country, so of course we looked a long time to find the right location and were nervous about how the place we chose would ultimately shape up for our big day. I have to say Skyler’s exceeded our expectations in almost every way! The owners were very accommodating, and the menu they put together was delicious (and affordable!) – fried chicken, crab cakes, and roast beef, plus three sides, two salad options, and desserts (which we didn’t even expect and totally stole the show!) Carnivores, picky eaters, and vegetarian friends were all impressed! The owners also took great care setting everything up for us, and because of the size of our party, we had the restaurant to ourselves! Working with them made everything so much less stressful! The only thing that didn’t quite go as planned was the music – their sound system is pretty out of date and could only handle ambient music, so dancing was not really a possibility. (Those of us who wanted to dance just went out after.) Of course, if we lived closer and had been able to check everything out well in advance, we could have planned for this, so this was more a matter of logistics than anything else. Overall, everything turned out beautifully – the restaurant looked gorgeous, the food and service were both amazing, and our guests had a wonderful time. Could not recommend this place more!
