I had the low country boil and it was outstanding. The flavor is really good. It is at least ten dollars cheaper than the nice seafood restaurants. All the food here is to go. It is great for lunch at work or to take home for dinner. They also sell uncooked and cooked fish. I am looking forward to going there again soon
Felt ripped-off. While visiting my daughter Thanksgiving, I wanted some fresh oysters. I read good reviews for this place, so thought I’d try it, since I had great food from a similar type place called Seafoodlicious. Any way, a younger guy took my order for 25# of fresh oysters. After a bit of a wait he brought me a box from a case of butter with oysters in it. $22+change Went back to the condo to shuck them and about 97% were dried up, dark brown or empty along with several rocks in the box and it got worse the deeper I went into the box. My daughter wanted us to take them back, but it was a 30 minute drive and besides anyone who would pull a stunt like that must be in dyer need of money to risk their reputation and embarrass their family. I would advise not to trust anything here to be fresh.
I went here with my girlfriend while in savannah for a long weekend. There is no seating, so we brought our food back to the hotel. We both had the low country boil, they give you a LOT of food for your money. It includes plenty of shrimp, crab, sausage, potatoes, and corn on the cob. The seasoning was delicious, with a touch of spiciness. The only other thing I would say about the meal is its a little hard to open the crab legs with just our bare hands and a plastic fork in the hotel room. Southside Seafood was extremely tasty and definitely recommended.
Great Boil!. Place is clean, couple is cute but the boil is awesome! Great deal, lots of shrimp, sausage and a whole crab. We got the party boil and it easily could have fed 15 people. We will be back next time we are in town- maybe everytime we are in town.
Delicious, fresh, affordable, local seafood cooked to order or available raw to prepare at home. We had the Low Country Boil with fresh shrimp, blue crab, sweet corn, new potatoes, and sausage. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, and a very good value for the price. A nice couple runs this place, keeps it very clean, and provides friendly, prompt service for customers. Take out only.
