Potatoes!! A tasty lunch or dinner anytime!. My boyfriend and I recently ate at Spudnik, just narrowly missing the St. Patty’s day bombardment on Savannah. What can you say about a potato?? Well they sure are delicious when you add on the toppings from Spudnik! Imagine…barbeque pork and cheese, salsa and black beans, feta and olives and many more. Let’s not forget the sweet potatoes with cinnamon and almonds or feta cheese and black beans. I had the Potatol monterey jack cheese, sour cream, salsa (medium, hot, or absurdly hot,) and jalapenos (hold the jalapenos please). Absolutely yummy!! Warm and satifying! My darling had the BBQ Pulled Pork-tato – Russet with BBQ pulled pork, sour cream, and cheddar cheese. He loved it!Now keep in mind, this is a cute food spot with healthy, yummy food. This isn’t a big sit down restaurant, with waiters. It’s super easy to get to from the Riverwalk. It’s close to the Candy Kitchen. It’s a great place to go on the weekend, when you’ve been out late drinking and need a great bite to eat! It’s a great place to go, when you need a tasty lunch or dinner anytime!
This place is pretty great! The decor is really charming, and the floor is all made of pennies, which is pretty dang cool.More importantly of course is the food! Everything is really affordable (like less than $10, and you can get a good potato for $6), perfect for college students (they’re open late too!). It’s all really delicious too; I had the Osaka with an egg. It was a great blend of sweet and spicy and so so filling! I couldn’t even finish it. My boyfriend had the BBQ porktato and that was also amazing. There’s a bit of tortilla chips on it which adds a little crunch. The only problem I saw was it was a little slow service (not awful) but it’s still fairly new, so they’re just getting on their feet. Basically I’d highly recommend going if you get the chance! It’s cheap, filling, and crazy delicious!
Fresh, Fast and Versatile. Great new spot for a fast hot and healthy meal that is cheap! Spudnik offers vegan and vegetarian options for their russet and sweet potatoes. If you have to have bacon – they have that too! Good sized meal for < $8. Go check out their innovative floor and great food!
