The food was so good and the service matched. Please do not come to savannah without coming here. Don’t deprive yourself of this southern goodness and definitely don’t forget the banana pudding.
Don’t come down south without eating here! The real deal for Southern cuisine. Save room for dessert Don’t let the simple exterior throw you off. A gem.
Awesome food! Finish with banana pudding or cappuccino pie (actually just get both). This is definitely a jewel in Savannah. Skip the Cracker Barrel and get some country cookin’ at Sweet Potatoes.
One of my favorite places for good ol southern fair! Fried chicken yes, shrimp yes, and everything else including the sweet potato fries of course! It is simple and service is fantastic, warm and friendly! I recommend evergthing, this is the spot to get your fix for whayvyour feeling, just order and you will not be disappointed. Price is super for all the food you get. And make sure to wash it all down with an Allagash on tap. . . YES!!!!
Came here for a late lunch around 3pm and were immediately seated and sweet tea brought to the table within the minute we sat down. Service was very friendly without being overbearing. Staff really knows their menu and seem proud of the place. Mains: I got the 1/2 mixed peach BBQ chicken, very tender and moist. Peach BBQ meatloaf was excellent as well. The peach BBQ sauce was sweet with the slightest hint of spice with visible slivers of peach and pepper. Catfish blt was easily 10 inches long and reportedly delicious though I didn’t get a bite. Sides: All of their sweet potato sides are also very sweet (fries are served dusted with brown sugar) so keep that in mind when ordering. Corn pudding was great and didn’t skimp on the corn. Cucumbers with vinaigrette were a perfect contrast to the sweet rich food. Dessert: It hardly needs to be said that the banana pudding was to die for, serving size was 1 1/2 cups but rich enough for 3 to share. Would definitely recommend to others and will be back myself.
Been here several times now and I’d highly recommend the glazed chicken and banana pudding. It’s what they’re known for! Not very impressed by some of the other items I’ve tried though. Parking can be challenging if you go during peak hours.
It’s somewhere between a diner and mom and pop soul food joint but it’s seems like it wants to be a southern/soul fusion spot. Food is good, and staff is great but if you are looking for something extremely unique keep looking.
