I was hoping for a little more! We got fried pickles for the appetizer. They are whole spears and they were really good. At our table we got the gyro, which I was told was pretty good. The fried green tomato BLT was okay..not what I was hoping for. It was a little plain and then it had some sauce on it that just wasn’t very good to me. We also got a kids PB&J which was made with quickly grilled pieces of bread. Our little liked it! We also had sweet potato fries but they were a little greasy, soggy, and not much taste to them at all. With the location and the atmosphere, this place has really good potential. Hopefully we just came on an off day with the cook.
Love going here wether for breakfast lunch or dinner . The food is amazing and service great. I’ve also been to two fundraising events here and they handled the crowds well . Great place to eat and socialize
We enjoyed a fantastic breakfast this morning on our first day here in Savannah for vacation. We are renting a cute place off of 40th Street #VillageSAV so The 5 Spot was real close. We both chose the 5 Spot Breakfast and Kelly ordered a pancake on the side. All was cooked perfectly and came out promptly and hot! A big stickler for me personally. We would definitely recommend the 5 Spot for breakfast!
Sud-par service but the food is good. The beer is cold and the mixed drinks could use some work. I’ve eaten here like 3 times and eat time the owner of the place has came out to say hi so kudos to you sir.
Good prices, good food.. Some of these reviews are crazy. Not sure what people are expecting from a place charging $8-$15 per plate. For that price, this place is really good. We live around the corner and have been here four or five times. Every time I get something different, and it’s always tasted great.
We went for dinner for the first time. Ordered a burger and fish and chips. Both of our meals were delicious. The fish was some of the best fried fish I’ve had in a restaurant. And the fries – they’ll make you throw your diet out the window they’re so good! The portions were great, too. We will be going back often.
