Finding a place to eat good food in Savannah is not hard, but finding a great little place with good food and excellent service is a little harder. When we arrived, I had a migraine and my husband went to find some ibuprofen. When he asked an employee were to find medicine, she offered her ibuprofen and even brought me water- that is hospitality. We enjoyed the firecracker shrimp- wonderful. We also had the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger and the Mahi-Mahi Penne- everything was really, really good. The service was fast and friendly and it wasn’t too crowded.

Overpriced and under flavored. Never again.
Naombi Shokes. Went there for lunch 12/27/13. not crowded, waitress never brought fries, we waited for 45 min for fried shrimp and chicken tenders. not like we ordered well done steak. waitress then had to be asked to bring back change from $20 for a $7 order. we wree given no condiments and food was fried in old grease. manager never came to see us and we asked twice. will NEVER go back again and we work right across the street…..
What a joke,staff sitting down eating in dining room and we sit there watching them enjoy thier food while we sit here with empty glasses dirty plates and waiting for over ten minutes so we can pay for the worst shrimp and grits ever!!!! absolutely no flavor those grits need help,wheres a manager???maybe consider hiring a real chef because all the chefs listed on your breakfast menu obviously cant figure it out.
You would think a restaurant that is fairly new might not have their things together. At least that’s what I thought but the Tondees Tavern My husband and I walked into was quite a pleasant surprise. My husband and I were treated like we were family. Brooke was amazing and helped us decide on the award winning beef ribs and raw oysters. I couldn’t have picked a better place. Why go to places you have at home when those small places have the most entertainment and best food. We were visited by everyone working making sure out drinks were filled and food was tasty. Not only did they stop to make sure we were okay but to ask us about where we are from and how we are enjoying savannah.
Rockin’ restaurant and service!. I came here during the rock and roll marathon all other restaurants turned me down due to not having a reservation but Tondee’s was able to fit me in on the wait list. Within 45 mins My friend and I were seated at a table with a sweet and attentive server, Izzy. We ended up ordering the ribs with red sauce and fries. The wait for food did take a while due to the amount of people in the restaurant but it was worth the wait! The ribs were the best I have had while traveling. I suggest this restaurant to any traveling folks. If I was a local I would be all the time!
