Horrible customer service!. They messed up our order and then refused to give us what we ordered., blaming it on us…they have no sense of customer service! ! I would not recommend this place to anyone! ! Very rude!
Interesting stop, it’s a cafe, but a decent onne. Clean inside, good food. You order at a counter and can eat inside, outside or in the train car. Catfish BLT was great, burgers were thick and tasty. Good stop for a quick lunch before the next attraction.
This train has derailed. This place exists because something needs to be there I guess…. It’s at the end of the Visitors Center, and it offers a cut-through to the Railroad Museum behind it. that was helpful. You order inside the main room, and you can eat in there, outside on the patio, or in the train car. You can eat in the train car if you can stomach the fact that is smells like a dirty public restroom. We chose to sit outside on the patio. I ordered a BLT which came with one piece of bacon. that’s right–one. The hamburgers were really greasy. If you ask for something special about your order–don’t expect it. We tried to change the cheese on one of the sandwiches, and it didn’t happen.
The first time I ate at the whistle stop cafe was a delight the food was amazing I had the smothered chicken with the sweet potato and fries okra it was all cooked to perfection and tasted great my husband had the fried catfish Blt and absolutely loved it he’s since then tried to make it at home but can’t quiet get it right. The service was wonderful our food got out in a timely fashion and our server was wonderful I don’t remember her name but she had short red hair and she was wonderful she helped us out with our questions about where we should go around savannah as well and was a big help. All in all we had a wonderfull time at the whistle stop cafe and will defiantly be coming back.
Pretty good. My family and I ate here after taking a trolley tour. Fried chicken was very good as were the fried tomatoes. Burger was also good, but a bit pricey at $8. Overall, good food but slow service.
