Maybe we had to much expectation of the place. Everyone said was a great place with best sandwiches in state. Is a small place where you buy the food and then go outside to eat them. (Tables, chairs and umbrellas next) but with 95 degrees was too much. The sandwich was good but not outstanding … maybe too spicy. And really spicy for kids. Beer was not to cold … So was not the beat place in Savannah ..
We really enjoyed our HUGE and delicious sandwiches for lunch today. I got the conquistador and my husband got The Godfather. We both thought they were delicious! The meat is juicy and tender, the sauces are fabulous. The unique spice blend was a refreshing change from the norm. And I LOVE the tea. You must try their tea!!
Love the vibe, our server Jane was awesome, the food is great change of pace from a lot of other places in Savannah. Well worth the trip!!!The South African tea is awesome, and we love the house sauces. Whether you get your food on a roll or on a bed of rice, it’s been great either way for us.
Falafals are outstanding! Conquistador sandwich was delicious. tzatsiki sauce is the best ever. Relaxed atmosphere but service is excellent.
Shyeah! This place is awesome. Great vibe great people great food. The godfather is amazing and couldn’t ask for better. Don’t let the size fool you, we took the hour drive from hilton head south Carolina two days in a row for this place and would do it again! Sh#t Yeah!
As far as a hole in the wall sandwich place this one takes the cake. The Godfather sandwich was extremely good. It might have throned itself as number 1 favorite sandwiches in my book. This is a must to for a lunch place in Savannah. Just go.
Excellent foodThe Conquistador is a must try. Make sure to use both sauces. I don’t know what they are but they are great. The rest of the menu is good as well. Service is really good also.
