Cheesy Muffins. Soooooo gooood. With honey butter
Our family went to Jim ‘n Nicks for lunch. The sweet, Southern hostess escorted us to our table and soon the waitress brought out the sweet melt-in-your mouth biscuits that soon disappeared! On the other hand, we had to send back our appetizer onion rings because they were hard and undercooked. The second batch were browner and crispier on the outside but the onions were still not cooked enough inside. We ordered the BBQ chicken, brisket sandwiches and the brisket plate. Everyone was full and satisfied. On our way out, however, I saw that their Health Dept. rating was only 86. This is a concern and I won’t bring my family back until their rating is over 95.
Value only if you select the right items. I am from Chicago and I love barbeque. There are just some bad BBQ joints here in Atlanta. Jim n Nick’s has good flavor but it’s a bit too commercial for me. The sauce is on the side in this nicely packaged containers with pickles?? I don’t understand the pickle reference. The sauce is good but I’m just used to sloppy greasy BBQ straight from the dipping pan. I ordered the rib tips (riblets on their menu) as a meal with one side and they were good in portion and taste. My husband ordered the two meat combo and had brisket and pulled pork which was a disappointment for the price. The two side items he got did not make up for the lackluster portion size. The cole slaw here was mediocre. It is hard to find good cole slaw at many BBQ places. The mac n cheese was just all right. I would definitely go here again because it was a clean, respectable restaurant but I will be cautious of what I order to make sure I get the biggest bang for my buck.
Excellent bbq.. They have the biggest baked potatoes I’ve ever seen.
Incredible nachos and BBQ sandwiche!
Soooo good!. I had such a great experience here. The server was fantastic: likeable and professional. They start with a basket of little muffins that were just impossibly good. I ate 9 of those things! For dinner I had baby back ribs. They were tender, smokey, and worth every penny. The green beans on the side were good…nothing special. But the boiled cabbage? OMG! It was so flavorful. The only thing I wasn’t thrilled with was cocnaut pie for dessert. It was good, but the rest of the meal set the standards high so I expected something special.I will be back. Soon.
Too many better options. Overpriced and over-hyped … BBQ is average at best. Don’t be fooled and give your business to one of the numerous better local BBQ joints.
