I cannot tell you how many times I have driven past Main Street Restaurant and have never darkened its doors. I was missing out! We had visited when they were down in the Snellville Oaks Shopping Center but havent been to their new location at Cooper Village in Grayson.I was surprised that when we arrived they were able to seat a large party right away considering it was Sunday and right after church let out, but there is a large seating area. Our server was awesome and took our drinks orders right away. While some in our party ordered lunch, Melanie and I were excited about trying the omelets and we werent disappointed.Melanie ordered a veggie omelet and I got the sausage and cheese. She got hers with toast and grits and I ordered mine with hash browns, grits and a biscuit. Our guests ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with fries and a tuna melt with chips.I was surprised at the size of the omelets because they were huge. The sausage in mine was cut large and could have been cut smaller but it worked out fine. Melanie really liked her veggie omelet and said she would order it again. My biscuit was light and flaky, just like I like them. The other thing is that it didnt crumble and fall apart, a plus in anyones column. One thing Melanie and I would like to note, the food is unseasoned. Youll need to add salt and pepper to your own tastes in order for the meal to be seasoned properly. I actually prefer it this way since now I am trying to watch my salt intake closely.Main Street Restaurant isnt fancy and it isnt pricy, but its great food whether you want lunch or breakfast. Since were pretty close, I think well be stopping in more often. Guten appetit! atlanta-food-critic.com
