Excellent and Easy!. Whether you are native to these parts, or just passing through Statesboro, Ga., choose Beaver House for the most authentic southern-style dining experience. Our family from Texas visited recently and we introduced them to Statesboro with lunch at Beaver House; they loved it. Being big Paula Deen fans, they wanted to visit Paula’s while they were here. Well, we took them to Paula’s and I can tell you that Beaver House won their hearts hands down. The food and service there is superior to Paula Deen’s Lady ‘n Sons or any other similar establishment in southeast Georgia.
Yummy. Took a friend to eat today. They wanted a fresh home cooked meal. That’s exactly what they got at the Beaver House. The owner was exceptionally nice and polite. Great place to eat
The lunch is great. I need to try dinner.
Beaver House rocks!. Stopped in for lunch during a road trip from Savannah to Atlanta, and boy was it worth it! It was one of the best values I’ve ever had with the amount and quality of the food, not to mention the beautiful atmosphere and the friendly people working there. Stop in and give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!
Good service. Good food.
I went to the Beaver House with a big group after GSU graduation. After pulling in the lot and seeing the huge number of cars, I thought it’d be days before I ate. The food was hot and quick to come, however, and delicious to say the least. The fried chicken was the best I’ve ever had and the macaroni slaw was uniquely incredible. A must go if you’re within an hour of Statesboro. Better than Lady and Sons in Savannah, too.
Excellent food and value!. I get around, and I’ve eaten a LOT of fried chicken. This ranks up there with some of the best I’ve ever eaten! My Wife and I recently took a week long trip to Savannah and wandered out to Statesboro to try this place out. We weren’t quite sure what to expect, but we were both delighted with out mealWe ordered the Boarding House Style Lunch, the menu varies but we had: Fried Chicken, Fried Pork Chops, Pole Beans, Beets, Rice & Gravy, Stewed Squash, Lima Beans, Beets, New Potatoes with Cream Sauce, Blackeyed Peas and Biscuits. I’m sure there was probably something else I’m forgetting, but trust me THERE WAS A LOT!The Fried Chicken was excellent. Fresh, moist, crispy and flavorful! I also loved the new potatoes in cream sauce. I don’t normally care for red-skin potatoes, but these were perfectly cooked with a rich, creamy sauce. My Wife doesn’t care for squash, but declared that the squash was one of the best things she had ever eaten! We ate at a lot of great restaurants, and aren’t slighting them by saying that this was the best meal of our trip! We can’t wait to make our way back.
