Not barbecue at all. This was a poor excuse for barbecue. It wasn’t even barbecue. None of the food was smoked at all (no smoke ring or bark), and it must be to be considered real barbecue. The pork was soggy and had obviously been sitting in a warming tray for who knows how long. The sides were average, about what you’d expect from any other average bbq joint. I understand that it’s a college town, and that most positive reviews are geared toward the price and portions (both of which were excellent) but the overall quality of the food is unauthentic and fake tasting. The service was excellent and the staff was all very nice, there’s no doubt about that. We would have gone to Sonny’s instead, which isn’t much better, but they weren’t open. Anyone who has had good old southern Q will be very disappointed with this place.
Long drive for good barbecue but worth it!. Spent the day visiting with friends and told them we wanted some good barbecue and they drove us from Clyo, GA to Statesboro to eat here. Thought it was odd to place order when you walk in and have a seat and they bring out your food. I ordered the Shane’s Sampler because I just couldn’t make up my mind what to try. Portion was generous and I had to share my food to make it disappear. Ribs were the best and fell off the bone. I can understand how this place ended up a small chain. Only real service here is the folks bringing out your food. Again, no one checked on us after and we self served our own drinks, silverware and etc. That would be my only recommendation is that they provide full service but I wouldn’t change a thing about the food!

Delicious!. Ok so their printer was messed up and my order never made it to the kitchen but when i let them know of the mistakes they got my food right away, apologized more than needed and gave me some coupons. Good customer service! also the food is always good.
