Went to this restaurant last year and it was pretty good so chose to go there this year for my birthday and was very disappointed in the service and the food. What was stated on the menu is not what you received. The saurbrated was very mushy, you can mash it with a fork and it is not suppose to be that way, the jaeger sachnitzel was way to thin from what it should be, the bread basket was suppose to have honey butter it did not, the Quiche sample was suppose to have soup with it and it did not. Don’t ever order the fruit plate when pineapple is in season as you have to cut it off the rind yourself. Service is poor, not worth the 18% gratuity if you have 6 or more in the party. Also if you bring your own cake they will charge to $10 for your cake no mention of this is on the web site nor do they tell you when you come into the restaurant and let them know you have one, they wait to the end and spring it on you. Do not recommend this restaurant.

Stopped by after riding by many times, authentic German village bakery & restaurant. The decor is very authentic, the staff are smiling & cordial, the grounds are clean & the inside is clean. The corner location in Stone Mountain is great. The chocolate coconut macaroons are very good & large, the pecan cookie had so many pecans & the oatmeal cranberry cookie is huge & good, neither was very sweet, which I like. They have a lunch & cake club, after so many lunch visits or cake purchases, you can get a lunch or cake free. Planning on returning for lunch to try the Reuben sandwich.Went back for lunch, had the sausage platter with the traditional polish sausage & the bratwurst with sauerkraut & potatoes with German mustard. The food came out lukewarm, definitely would’ve tasted better right out of the pan, especially the potatoes. I love the combination of food introducing different flavors from each. The waitress was very knowledgeable & engaging. The prices are excellent. We sat on the restaurant side where they have a few flat screens mixed in around the German paraphernalia. Took home a Reuben sandwich with potatoes for the hubby. Stopped by the bakery on the way out for a chocolate almond cookie. I’ll return for breakfast.
