S’ville Mayland Fried Chicken. I loved it, I just barely remember the Maryland Fried Chicken that was in Summerville many years ago. in fact it may have been Summerville’s first chain fast food place. Glad it is here.
Simply Fried Chicken. I had never heard of Maryland Fried Chicken until yesterday. I was driving through Summerville and saw it. I am a fried chickenaholic, so I had to give it a try. Come to find out, there’s only 30-40 branches of MFC in the US. 12 are in Florida, 12 are in Georgia, 7 are in South Carolina, and a few in Pennsylvania, Virginia and Michigan. Not many. Anyway, the new branch in Summerville is pick-up only, no dine-in. Its always been difficult for me to critique places like this, so I’ll just comment on the chicken. I ordered an eight piece dark meat box for $5.00. That’s a great value and the chicken was good. It was tender, crispy, moist inside, not too greasy, and flavorful. I plan ro return!
